EXCLUSIVE: Lamborghini LB48H Could be Named Unico
It is called the Lamborghini Unico but it probably won’t be a one-off.
Earlier this year, we broke the story of Lamborghini’s first hybrid supercar codenamed: LB48H. We now have an update on that. Our sources tell us that the LB48H could be named Unico.
The Lamborghini Unico is expected to be designed along the lines of the Terzo Millennio concept. Apart from the self-healing carbon fiber bodywork, the car might borrow some styling cues from the concept. Reports suggest that the Unico could be powered by a 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine tuned to produce 789 hp. An electric motor will add another 49 hp for a combined output of 838 hp.
We have been told that production is likely to commence by the end of 2018. Lamborghini will reportedly build just 63 units of the Unico each costing around $2.5 million.
The Lamborghini Unico is expected to be a prelude to the Aventador successor codenamed: LB634, which will also be a hybrid.
