Exclusive: Aston Martin is building the “Ultimate Valkyrie”
Back in November 2018, we were the first to break the story about the Valkyrie Track Pack. The same was confirmed by Aston Martin in January this year. But, if you think the Track Pack or the AMR Pro would be the most extreme versions of the Valkyrie, then you’d be wrong. Sources tell us that Aston Martin is building what is described as the “Ultimate Valkyrie”.
The Valkyrie in its current form is perhaps the most extreme road-legal car out there. As you know, it is the creation of Red Bull Racing’s Adrian Newey. The Ultimate version raises the bar even higher and is likely to feature numerous exterior upgrades over the standard car.
The Ultimate Valkyrie is likely to use the Cosworth-built 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, which delivers 1,013 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque. On the standard Valkyrie, the engine is paired with a battery-electric system that delivers an additional 162 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque.
We are told that Aston Martin is building just 10 units of Adrian Newey’s ultimate creation, each costing about £5 million. Sadly, all ten of them have already been spoken for.
More details about the most extreme version of Valkyrie are awaited. We will update this story as and when more information is available. So, stay tuned.
