Ex-Ferrari F1 driver Carlos Sainz takes delivery of a $4 million Daytona SP3
Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz Jr. recently took delivery of his brand-new Ferrari Daytona SP3 in Monaco. Perhaps it’s a parting gift from the Scuderia as he leaves the team for Williams next season.
Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari Daytona SP3 has a matte grey exterior with red accents. It has a red stripe running down the centre of the car and matching highlights around the front splitter and along the sides. There is a tonne of carbon and Alcantara on the interior with red seats and a black dashboard.
Some of the unique touches that make this Daytona SP3 special are the red pinstripes with #55 on the side skirts and the “Smooth Operator” script on the intakes and centre console.
The Daytona SP3 is powered by a mid-mounted 6.5-liter V12 engine from the 812 Competizione. It develops 850 hp and comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Sainz’s ex-teammate Charles Leclerc also owns a unique Daytona SP3. Check out the Monagasque’s matte black example here.
