Doug deMuro-LaFerrari-David-Lee

Ferrari

Unlike the Enzo, Doug deMuro does get to drive a LaFerrari

In case you are looking for a comprehensive tour of a LaFerrari, you must checkout Doug deMuro’s review. As always, it’s full of quirks and features.

Doug deMuro was not allowed to drive the Ferrari Enzo. You can watch that video here. Fortunately, David Lee was gracious enough to let Doug drive his LaFerrari.

The LaFerrari was the replacement for the Enzo. Ferrari built just 500 units and David Lee was the among the lucky few who was offered one. Those who follow David on social media will know that he also owns a 288 GTO, F40, F50 and an Enzo. Well, to be invited to own a LaFerrari you had to have a few notable prancing horses in your garage. Besides, if you had the cash and were offered one, why would you decline. After all, the car now costs $3.5 million – more than double it’s original price.

Ferrari also built an open top version called the LaFerrari Aperta. One recently popped up for sale at Crave Luxury Auto in Texas.

The LaFerrari is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with a hybrid system. The combined output is 950 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It will do 0-62 mph in 2.4 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 217 mph.
