Driver saves the day as Ferrari 812 Competizione A almost crashes
One of the first Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta’s was delivered to @fanchracing last month. The owner recently took the car to the French Alps, a decision he might have regretted later.
The ski resort of Courchevel still had some snow when he arrived along with @the_car_trotter. The guys were taking pictures and videos of the 812 Competizione A, driving around the mountain roads, when suddenly, the rear stepped out while exiting a tunnel. The owner’s quick reactions saved the car from what could’ve been a major crash.
The 812 Competizione A is the open-top version that was only offered to VIP clients. The car in this video is finished in Grigio Titanio exterior with a yellow stripe. It has black Alcantara on the interior.
The 812 Competizione A is powered by a 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 830 hp @ 9250 rpm and 510 lb-ft @ 7000 rpm. While the engine is similar to the one that powers the Superfast, it now revs to 9500 rpm. As a result, the car rockets to 60 mph in just 2.85 seconds, while its top speed is 211 mph.
