If you think, Doug deMuro, in his 2012 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Wagon doesn’t stand chance to win against a Porsche 911 and an Audi R8, you’d be wrong. Surprisingly, out of the three cars from the same era, the 4-door family estate car turns out to be the quickest.
Initially, it seems the Porsche 911 and the Audi R8 have this race in the bag and that the bulky wagon wouldn’t stand a chance against these sports cars. Well, that wasn’t case. The E63 AMG with its 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 with 549 hp races past the line first even with an amateur like Doug deMuro behind the wheel.
