Dodge Launches Stars & Stripes Special Editions for the Challenger and Charger

Meet the Stars & Stripes special editions of the Challenger and the Charger – Dodge’s way of celebrating the men and women in uniform for their services.

Dodge trivia coming through. The carmaker has the highest percentage of active military buyers in the industry. Plus, the Challenger and the Charger have the highest percentage of active-duty service personnel in their respective segments. So when we got the press release from FCA announcing that the manufacturer has lined up special editions of both the Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Charger, saluting the brave hearts in the US military, we weren’t surprised. The Stars & Stripes special editions are the perfect way to cheer the men and women in uniform who have been serving the country.

The special edition package with military-inspired cosmetic touches can be applied to the Challenger R/T Scat Pack, Charger Scat Pack, Challenger and Charger R/T, and Challenger and Charger GT RWD variants at a premium of $1,995. So what are the good things which set the Stars & Stripes special editions aside from the crowd of Challengers and Chargers on the street?

A unique satin-black and silver center stripe, a satin-black American flag decal on the fenders, 20-inch black wheels, and black badging are standard fare. If the Performance Handling Group is part of the features list, then the 4-piston Brembo brake calipers will receive a slick bronze finish.

Interiors of the special editions are finished in black and bronze. Badass names have been assigned to the color options available – Destroyer Grey, F8 Green, Granite Crystal, IndiGo Blue, Maximum Steel, Octane Red, Pitch Black, Triple Nickel, and White Knuckle.

The special editions will be up for display at the 2019 New York Auto Show and will be available for order starting May 2019. Dealerships will commence handing over the keys to customers in summer.
