Corvette Stingray with H700 package decimates the stock Corvette Stingray

Renowned tuner Hennessey has released a new video. The video shows a race between the stock Corvette Stingray along with a C8-gen Chevrolet Corvette Stingray with the H700 kit.

What’s the H700 upgrade package?

The Texas-based tuner offers a supercharger, an intercooler and a new catback exhaust as part of the H700 package. Further, the company also offers a new tune to take care of the improved components along with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. This will convert your standard Corvette into a 708 HP and 638 lb-ft. machine. When compared with the stock engine, the naturally aspirated version puts out only 495 HP and 470 lb-ft.

Races between the stock and H700 Corvette

The first drag race consists of a standing start event. Both cars get a good start but it is easily seen that the supercharged version is inching ahead and easily establishes a good lead. What’s further to note is that despite the upgraded performance, the car held on its own and didn’t suffer any traction issues.

After that, the two cars had a rolling start race. Here too, the Hennessey version easily manages to gap the stock car and win with little effort.

For the last race, H700’s driver allowed the stock car a headstart but still managed to close the gap and finish the race first.
