Coronavirus: Bugatti Factory faces temporary closure
The Bugatti factory in Molsheim might be closed down as France grapples with the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The French government has said that only essential business can be conducted from now on, which suggests that production at the Bugatti factory could be affected. The announcement of a temporary closure could be on the horizon, if workers are asked to work from home.
France has already announced emergency restrictions to contain the spread of the virus. Cafes, restaurants, cinemas and most nonessential shops are now shut. While citizens are being advised to stay indoors.
Last week, the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a pandemic. According to reports, France has more than 4,400 confirmed cases. 91 people have already lost their lives due to the virus.
Earlier this month, the Geneva Motor Show was cancelled as Switzerland imposed restrictions to combat the spread of the virus. The upcoming New York Auto Show has also been rescheduled to August 2020.
