Configuring our dream Porsche 911 S/T that we can’t afford
The Porsche 911 S/T is currently the hottest car on the market. Only 1963 units will be produced, with a base price of $291,650 each. Clearly, it’s not a car that everyone will be able to afford and even if they do have the bank balance, getting an allocation is nigh on impossible unless you’re prepared to shell out a hefty sum.
We, like most enthusiasts, are among those who can only dream of owning one. So. that’s what we did using Porsche’s handy configurator.
So, here’s what our dream Porsche 911 S/T looks like – We’ve gone with an Amethystmetallic exterior from the ‘Paint to Sample’ colour palette, spruced up with the Heritage Design Package that adds a special livery, silver-coloured grilles, gold emblems and lightweight Magnesium wheels painted in Ceramica.
The interior of our 911 S/T is equipped with the Heritage Design pack with 2-tone leather in Black and Classic Cognac. We have opted for the full bucket seats and the carbon fibre roll cage, ofcourse.
Powering the 911 ST is the same 4.0-liter flat-6 engine as the GT3 RS. It makes 518 hp and is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox via a lightweight clutch and a single-mass flywheel. Porsche claims a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph.
