Chevrolet Camaro offers $3,000 DISCOUNT for Mustang Owners
Chevrolet Camaro is hanging out a bigger bait for Ford Mustang owners – a $3,000 discount.
In August 2019, Chevrolet came up with an enticing plan to lure in Ford Mustang owners. A $2,500 discount was offered to those Mustang owners who were ready to switch to the Chevrolet Camaro. The offer was later extended to the month of September. Now the Golden Bowtie hasn’t just extended the discount offer for another month, but has increased the incentive to $3,000.
The offer is applicable across the range – right from the LS base trim to the top-of-the-line ZL1 road-going missile. The terms and conditions to be rewarded with the $3,000 discount are simple. You got to either own or lease a Ford Mustang for at least 30 days prior to the day you decide to make the switch to the Chevrolet Camaro. And just to make sure that the non-Mustang owner clientele don’t feel left out, Chevy is offering a $1,000 discount for them.
Incentives of this kind are being actively promoted by Chevrolet as the sales figures of the Camaro hasn’t been that great in 2019. The pony car has been consistently sitting at the bottom of the American muscle car sales chart for all three quarters of the year. Even the $2,500 discount in August and September hasn’t brought in a significant improvement in the numbers.
If new discount proves to be tempting enough for existing Ford Mustang owners to jump ship, then the Camaro may have a chance to grab the second spot in the final quarter of 2019. Do note that the discount lets Mustang owners drive out in an LS Camaro for $22,995 and a ZL1 for $59,995. That’s tempting and it just might do the trick as far as boosting sales is concerned. At least GM hopes so.
