Bugatti responds to a Chiron owner’s Christmas wish for cupholders

A Bugatti Chiron is the epitome of automotive engineering and quality. It’s also one of the fastest production cars on the planet. However, even a multi-million dollar hypercar like the Chiron isn’t perfect – it lacks a proper cupholder.

Bugatti decided to address this after a Chiron Super Sport owner posted her Christmas wish for a “Bugatti cupholder” on Instagram. @sweet4shannon mentioned how she spilt an entire can of Red Bull in the door pocket. She went on to request Frank Heyl, Director of Design at Bugatti Rimac, to design a cupholder that could at least fit a water bottle.

Frank and his team took up the challenge and within a week designed and developed a dual cupholder that clips into the door pocket. Heyl said that if Shannon approves the design, Bugatti can get the prototype 3D-printed and shipped to her in January.

As you can see, the cupholder has been designed to match the spec of the car and even has the owner’s name on it.
