The Bugatti Veyron will soon be out of production and in the process, make way for a new hypercar. Volkswagen’s French subsidiary would be looking at breaking the world production car record for the highest top speed this time as well. While the world is still kept guessing about the next fast car from Bugatti, the company has revealed the name it will sport. The Bugatti Veyron replacement will called the Bugatti Chiron.

The name comes from a Greek mythology creature. Chiron was also the name of the most successful Bugatti racing driver in the company’s history. The car will use the same 8.0-liter W12 engine at its heart with multiple turbochargers for added boost in output. A hybrid system is expected to make a debut as well. All-wheel drive would be retained and so will be the dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The new Bugatti Chiron will most certainly be lighter than its predecessor and quite a lot faster too.
