Bugatti Chiron to be Privately Unveiled Soon
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the upcoming replacement for the Bugatti Veyron- dubbed Chiron is ready and will soon be shown to dealers and prospective buyers at a private unveiling scheduled to be held at Chateau St. Jean in Molsheim, France.
The Bugatti Chiron is expected to be launch in 2016. Prototypes of the upcoming hypercar have already been out in the open, however the final shape is still a mystery as all the test mules spotted till date have had slightly modified Veyron exteriors.
That said, Bugatti has already confirmed that the new Bugatti Chiron would be a step up from its legendary predecessor. While the last Veyron had a 1000 hp engine and the most powerful peaked at 1200 hp, the Chiron would get a 1500 hp engine combined with a hybrid system for the first time.
Bugatti will retain the all-wheel drive system and the behemoth 8.0-liter W12 engine. While, the Veyron was an extremely complicated supercar capable of doing speeds in excess of 400 kph, the Chiron will take it to the next level. With increasing competition from brands like Koenigsegg, Bugatti would like to retain the crown of the “world’s fastest production car”.
