Bugatti Chiron Super Sport recalled over incorrect wheels

Bugatti has recalled the Chiron Super Sport over incorrect wheels. Imagine driving a 273 mph hypercar on wheels that aren’t meant for it. Scary!

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport rides on BBS wheels that were specially created for this car. BBS Leichtbaurad designed two wheels, one for the Super Sport and the other for the special edition Super Sport 300+.

Reports state that at some point, a standard Chiron wheel was added to the Super Sport configurator and a customer in the US opted for those, while configuring his car.

The customers received his Super Sport with the incorrect wheels, which, as per Bugatti, may cause handling issues, especially at extremely high speeds. According to NHTSA, the incorrect wheels may result in a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash when driving in Top Speed Mode.

In response, Bugatti has decided to recall the Super Sport in question to get the correct wheels installed. The wheels will be supplied free of cost with a brand-new set of tires, valves and sensors.
