Bugatti Chiron Roadster teased ahead of Pebble Beach
Bugatti has finally released the first teaser of the upcoming Chiron Roadster. The new coachbuilt model is scheduled to be unveiled at the Quail on August 19, 2022.
The short clip released by Bugatti gives us a glimpse of the new hypercar’s headlamp cluster. It appears to be a vertically oriented unit similar to the Bugatti Divo, featuring horizontal LED elements.
The new model will be the first open-top model to be based on the Chiron platform. It could feature a wraparound windshield and a removable top. However, little is known about the final design.
According to our sources, the car’s top speed will be limited to 155 mph with the roof in place. However, without the roof, it could reach 261 mph, making it one of the fastest open-top hypercars ever made.
The Chiron Roadster is said to be one of the final Bugatti models to feature the 8.0-liter W16 engine. It will also be the third model to use the mighty ‘Thor’ powertrain packing 1600 hp.
