Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is built to Attack Corners
Bugatti has taken the wraps off the Chiron Pur Sport – a version of the Chiron that’s built to attack corners.
The Pur Sport gets a revised aero package featuring a new front fascia and a more pronounced front splitter. The car has extractor vents on the front fenders and redesigned sills as well. At the rear, the Pur Sport gets a large, fixed rear wing and twin titanium exhausts. New titanium brake pad base panels, lighter brake discs and wheels have reduced the overall weight by 19 kg compared to the regular Chiron.
The Pur Sport is powered by the familiar 8.0-liter, quad-turbo W16 engine which pumps out 1500 hp. However, the engine now revs to 6900 rpm, 200 rpm higher than the standard Chiron. The gear ratios have also been reworked for better acceleration as opposed to top speed.
Bugatti has also re-tuned the suspension on the Pur Sport. Spring rates have been firmed up by 65% and 33% in the front and rear respectively. The car rides on Aero alloys wrapped in special Michelin Bugatti Sport Cup 2 R tires.
The Chiron Pur Sport is priced at approximately $3.55 million before taxes. Only 60 cars will be built.
