Bruno Senna takes the McLaren Solus GT for a lap of Silverstone

Ex-F1 driver Bruno Senna, the nephew of the late Ayrton Senna, recently got a chance to get behind the wheel of a McLaren Solus GT. He took the single-seater around a lap of Silverstone.
The Solus GT made its first dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last month. It was conceived as a million-dollar track toy based on a carbon fibre monocoque. The Vision GT-inspired design is said to generate 2645 lbs of downforce, which is more than the overall weight of the car itself (2205 lbs).
It is powered by a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 that revs to 10,000 rpm and develops 829 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a motorsport-derived 7-speed sequential gearbox with straight-cut gears and a carbon fibre clutch.
