BMW M8 Competition Leaks Online

BMW M8 Competition is expected to be a more focused coupe with over 600 hp.

BMW is set to debut the M8 sometime in 2019. However, images of the more potent M8 Competition have already leaked online.

These undisguised images of the M8 Competition were recently posted on the German Car Forum. Those who are familiar with the BMW nomenclature will know that the Competition package is the more hardcore version of the standard M car. Its performance is complemented by an aggressive exterior.

In this case, the M8 gets a black twin kidney grille and a sportier front bumper with carbon inserts. It has a lightweight carbon fiber roof and unique alloy wheels. At the rear, the M8 Competition gets a boot spoiler and a carbon diffuser as well as massive quad exhausts. The M8 Competition badge can be clearly seen on the boot lid.

The standard M8 will be powered by 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine with around 600 hp. The M8 Competition is expected to use the same power unit albeit with a few tweaks. Expect a power figure north of 600 hp and a slightly lower 0-60 mph time compared to the M8.

The BMW M8 Competition will be the flagship model in the 8 Series line up. The carmaker has already launched the 8 Series Coupe and Convertible models.
