BMW M5 Touring is in the works to take on the Audi RS6

The latest teasers confirm that the next-generation BMW M5 will be available in wagon/estate body style. The all-new M5 Touring will make its debut sometime next year.
The BMW M5 Touring will combine high performance with the practicality of a wagon. It will lock horns with the mighty Audi RS6 Avant and the Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon.
Powering the M5 Touring will the be same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine hybrid as the sedan. It is likely to feature an electric motor powered by a 29.5 kWh battery.
This powertrain can also be found under the hood of the BMW XM. It produces 735 hp and 735 lb-ft of torque in the Label Red version, while the standard car packs 644 hp and 590 lb-ft.
