BMW M4 CSL-based ultra-limited edition Hommage on the cards

The annual Villa d’Este concours will host the much-hyped BMW M4 CSL. But that’s not the only hot M4 that BMW has in store for us. According to reports, the automaker will introduce an ultra-limited edition Hommage model as well. Sources tell us that it could be called the M4 GT/H.

The M4 CSL will be a stripped-down version of the standard M4, with acres of carbon fibre. It is expected to be around 100 kg lighter, and the 3.0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine will pack an even greater punch. We’ve been told that the M4 CSL will be able to lap the Nurburgring in under 7 seconds.

Clearly, the M4 CSL is no slouch. However, BMW is going a step further and will offer its VIP clients a chance to own an uber-special car. According to our sources, the M4 GT/H will be hand-built, and unlike the CSL, it will come with a manual transmission.

Reports suggest that the 3.0-liter engine in the Hommage will be tuned to around 599 hp, allowing the lightweight machine to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3.5 seconds (estimated). We’ve also been told that this version will lack basic features like parking sensors and electric seats.

It is said that BMW will build just 50 examples of the M4 GT/H.
