BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage delivered to a supercar collector’s garage
Supercar collector @muc.collector has taken delivery of his BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage. He recently posted this image of his latest acquisition on his Instagram.
The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage was unveiled last year, with production limited to just 50 units. The car’s design is based on the original Coupe Sport Lightweight (CSL) from 1970.
The 3.0 CSL features a reshaped kidney grille up front and bumper with round intake ducts on either side. The car has wider fenders, an extended door sill and a striking rear end with an integrated fixed spoiler.
The 3.0 CSL Hommage is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine that makes 553 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque. It is the most powerful inline-6 engine BMW has ever made. The car is only available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which sends power to the rear axle via an M differential. Braking duties are handled by carbon ceramics, which come standard.
Earlier this year, one of these exclusive machines was offered at auction with a starting price of $860,000.
