Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series Special Edition SUV is all About Style
The mechanicals remain the same. But that won’t stop the super-luxury-SUV clientele from grabbing a Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series special edition.
Much like the Porsche Cayenne which started off as an uninspiring-looking yet well-packaged luxury SUV, the Bentley Bentayga has now turned into a handsome high-riding land yacht. It looks great now and parking it next to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan will reemphasize how solid the design is in comparison. The manufacturer has now unveiled a special edition named the Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series to draw in more buyers.
Based on the Bentayga V8, the Design Series limited edition vehicles are not mechanically different from the standard model. These special editions continue to be powered by the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, producing 542 hp of power and 568 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is 180 mph and it’ll do a 0-60 mph in 4.4. seconds while on its way to the aforementioned figure.
So what makes the Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series different enough to justify the steep premium than the manufacturer is going to slap on it? There are a hell lot of Mulliner features all over the limited edition SUV. Exterior differences include 7-spoke Palladium Grey Paragon wheels with self-leveling wheel badges, twin gloss black exhaust pipes, body-colored front apron and discreet Design Series badging on the lower front doors.
Inside the special edition ultra-luxurious SUV, tasteful enhancements have been integrated into an already-desirable real estate. Duotone color choices are offered now which make the interior pop with colored accents in Pillar Box Red, Orange, Mulliner White, and Klein Blue, around a Beluga main hide.
For the first time ever, a new contrast accent design line color split is offered in the Bentayga. Featuring a vivid, high contrast color on the lower dashboard and the center console, it immediately grabs the attention once you step into the luxurious cabin. An all-new carbon-fiber weave flaunting an intricate diamond-quilted pattern with rich gloss finish has been applied to the dashboard and doors. The console and center fascia, on the other hand, feature a Piano Black finish.
The exquisitely-created cabin also boasts of deep pile floor mats with contrast binding, an elegant diamond-jeweled Breitling clock, “Bentley” illuminated tread plates, drilled alloy sports pedals and footrest.
How much does the whole Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series package cost? Bentley hasn’t announced the pricing yet. Perhaps they are more interested in revealing the fancy number to serious buyers only.
