Automotive Superstar: ICON’s Jonathan Ward

XCAR caught up with the man behind ICON, Jonathan Ward to learn how a small restoration workshop specializing in classic Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Series gained global acclaim. Jonathan is the lead designer behind these bespoke cars and has recently started working on other iconic models like the Ford Bronco and Willis Jeep.

ICON is also planning on launching their very own, custom electric car. Ward’s plan is build a period streamlined coupe with a modern electric backbone underneath. The upcoming Tesla Model X would make up a great base platform for the ‘Helios’, according to Ward.
