Audi RS6 Avant tries to run from Spanish cops; fails
A video of a police pursuit involving an Audi RS6 Avant is doing the rounds of social media. This one reminded us of the Transporter movie starring Jason Statham.
The video appears to have been captured by a bystander. It shows the RS6 driving down a busy street before being intercepted by a police van at the intersection. The Audi driver then tries to evade the cops but gets hit by another cop car as he’s making a U-turn.
Thanks to the twin-turbo V8 under the hood, the Audi speeds away into the distance. The video then cuts to the climax of this pursuit, which doesn’t end well for the Audi RS6 driver.
The fourth-generation Audi RS6 Avant went out of production in 2018. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 560 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. Despite its heft, the RS6 Avant is capable of sprinting from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, and can reach a top speed of around 190 mph.
