Aston Martin Vantage Roadster facelift breaks cover
Aston Martin has revealed the updated Vantage Roadster based on the facelift version of the brand’s entry-level sports car. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q2 2025.
The 2026 Vantage Roadster weighs just 132 lbs more than the coupe. It features a Z-fold fabric roof that is said to be lighter than a conventional K-fold top. The roof can be raised or lowered in 6.8 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph.
The overall design of the Roadster is similar to the coupe. It features the same updated front fascia that includes a large grille and reprofiled LED headlamps. Aston Martin has also tweaked the rear section, while also introducing a brand-new interior.
The Vantage Roadster comes with a new centre console and a touchscreen infotainment system. The car also gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.
The 2026 Vantage Roadster is powered by a Mercedes-sourced 4.0-liter V8, which produces 656 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to the rear axle via an electronic limited-slip differential. While the sprint from 0-60 mph takes 3.5 seconds, top speed remains the same as Vantage coupe at 202 mph.
