Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante Revealed
In 2016, Aston Martin unveiled the most potent grand tourer in its line up- the Vanquish S. Now, through a set of drool-worthy images, the automaker has revealed the drop-top version. Welcome everyone to the 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante.
Styling
Before we get to the technical bits, here are some of the aesthetic changes made to the new Vanquish S Volante. The model gets a revised carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser element. It retains its unique integrated spoiler and shiny new quad-exhaust tips. Optional carbon fiber are available in order to personalize your Aston. Moreover, the new 20-inch diamond-turned wheels look fantastic!
Engine and performance
At its heart is a 5.9-liter V12 engine that has been tuned to produce 580 hp at 7000 rpm and 465 lb-ft of torque. The glorious V12 is mated to a ZF 8-speed transmission which drives the rear wheels. Thanks to a new stainless steel exhaust and revised intake manifold, performance is brisk. The new model can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 sec- o.3 sec faster than the outgoing model. Top speed is 201 mph.
The interior is finished in leather and can be ordered in a satin chopped carbon fiber finish for the center console. Overall, the cabin remains unchanged apart from the additional trim options. The base price of the Vanquish S Volante is $315,775 and it will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
