Aston Martin Valkyrie to race at Le Mans with Heart of Racing team?

In 2019, Aston Martin announced its plans to race the Valkyrie at the Le Mans 24 Hours under the new Hypercar regulations. However, that plan didn’t go through, and the project was terminated a year later.

According to a new report, Aston Martin may consider reviving its Le Mans project. It is said that the US-based Heart of Racing team has approached the brand to bring the Valkyrie to Le Mans. The report also states that Aston has appointed Adam Carter, former engineering director at Williams F1 to oversee the project.

Aston Martin already has a track-oriented version of the Valkyrie called the AMR Pro. The Le Mans version might retain the same Cosworth-sourced 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, albeit without the hybrid system.
