Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro unleashed at Paul Ricard
Aston Martin is returning to the top class of endurance racing with its Valkyrie hypercar. As regulations restrict the Le Mans race car to 680 hp, the Valkyrie AMR Pro is still one of the ultimate track toys money can buy.
Aston Martin recently let the Valkyrie AMR Pro lose at the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France. The following video provides an onboard view as the car darts around the twisty race tracks.
The Valkyrie AMR Pro is powered by the same 6.5-liter V12 engine as the road version, except that it misses out on the hybrid system. It puts out 1000 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque. Crucially, the car weighs just 1006 kg, which makes it an absolute hoot to drive around a racetrack.
Only 40 examples of the AMR Pro were built.
