Aston Martin Valhalla hypercar spied testing at the Nurburgring

The Aston Martin Valhalla has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring, which suggests that the upcoming hypercar has entered its next phase of development.

The Valhalla has been in the works for quite some time though. The production version was first revealed to the public back in 2021. Last year, Aston Martin shared a few updates on its development, but that was it.

The Valhalla borrows design cues from the radical Aston Martin Valkyrie. It has similar surfaces but with a relatively less aggressive aero package. Still, the Valhalla has several Formula 1-inspired aero features like the side skirts and a massive rear diffuser. It also features a retractable rear wing.

At its heart is a mid-mounted 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with two electric motors – one on each axle. The combined output is 937 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Aston claims that the powertrain has enough oomph to catapult the hypercar to a top speed of 217 mph. 0-62 mph is dispatched in just 2.5 seconds! The car’s dry weight is 1550 kg.
