Aston Martin DBX S teased: “World’s most powerful luxury SUV”

Aston Martin has released a short teaser of the upcoming high-performance version of the DBX. The SUV will debut on February 1, 2022.

Dubbed as “the world’s most powerful luxury SUV”, the new model has been in the news since 2019. Rumors suggest that it could be called the ‘Aston Martin DBX S’ and will be powered by a V12 instead of a V8 engine. This means it will lock horns with the upcoming Ferrari Purosangue FUV.

The Aston Martin DBX S is likely to be powered by the same 5.2-liter, twin-turbocharged V12, which does duty in the DB11 and DBS Superleggera. Now, whether it gets the latter’s 715 hp heart remains to be seen. At present, Aston offers the DBX with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 that puts out 542 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

Besides a new engine, the DBX will also receive sportier design treatment on the exterior. The DBX S is likely to get a redesigned front fascia featuring a more aggressive look. However, we can expect to see the standard DBX cabin being carried over, albeit with sporty add-ons.
