Alpine Grand Tourer Zagato to debut on February 21; Here’s what we know
Poland-based La Squadra has partnered with renowned Italian design house Zagato to create a bespoke, coachbuilt supercar, dubbed ‘AGTZ Twin Tail’. The new Le Mans-inspired GT car will be officially unveiled on February 21, 2024.
Sources have told us that AGTZ is short for Alpine Grand Tourer Zagato. The official press release doesn’t reveal much, but we have been able to gather some information. Apparently, the AGTZ is a tribute to the iconic Alpine A220 that raced at the 1968 Le Mans 24 Hours race. It is likely to be powered by a V8 engine.
The teaser image released by the company shows a sleek, long tail design reminiscent of endurance race cars from the 1960s. Besides its design, Zagato will also manufacture the Alpine Grand Tourer Zagato.
La Squadra will handle sales and marketing for the new AGTZ Twin Tail. The company was founded by Jakub Pietrzak in Katowice, Poland, in 2013. It is the official distributor for brands like Ferrari, Pagani, Koenigsegg, Bugatti and Alpine.
