Alfa Romeo Giulia Zagato teased ahead of its unveiling

Alfa Romeos may not be as popular as other Italian automakers, but they sure know how to make a beautiful car. Another brand known for its gorgeous designs is Zagato, and the two are now teaming up to create the Giulia SWB Zagato.

A teaser image of the upcoming Giulia Zagato has surfaced on social media. It doesn’t reveal much, except for the LED tail lamp that seems to follow the contours of the rear fascia.

The new special edition is expected to be based on the Giulia Quadrifoglio. However, as the name suggests, it will have a shorter wheelbase. That leads us to believe that it might be a 2-door coupe, unlike the standard Giulia, which is a 4-door sedan.

Alfa Romeo has been rather tight-lipped about its latest Zagato build. Engine specs and other details are still unknown, but we can expect it to use the same 2.9-liter, twin-turbo V6 from the Quadrifoglio. This engine pumps out 503 hp @ 6500 rpm and 443 lb-ft @ 2500-5000 rpm. We can’t rule out a slight bump in performance either.
