Alfa Romeo is an Italian car maker and one thing that Italians do well, is design gorgeous looking automobiles. The company has gone through numerous turmoils in the past and only recently has been able to resurrect itself. They came out with the 8C Competizione, a few years ago and now they’re back with yet another mirror-cracking beauty of a sports car. The Alfa Romeo 4C is a diet version of the 8C but borrows quite a few styling features from its predecessor. The exterior design of the Alfa Romeo 4C is perhaps one of the best features of the car.

The second best feature is the engine. The tiny 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that churns out 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque at a very low 2200 rpm adds to the joy of driving this thing. Also, the Alfa Romeo 4C is lightweight and has the engine bolted in the middle which allows it to achieve superior power-to-weight ratio and precision handling. The low overall weight has been achieved by using a carbon fiber monocoque tub, much like a supercar.

The company has been expanding its dealer network in the US for some time now. With proper sales and after sales points in place, Alfa Romeo has officially launched the 4C sports car in the country. The Alfa Romeo 4C is priced at USD 53,900 excluding destination charge. That said, Alfa Romeo will bring just 500 cars across the pond as part of the “launch edition” which comes fitted with larger all-black wheels, sports suspension and a louder sports exhaust.
