A detailed tour of the Maserati MC12 Stradale
The good folks at DK Engineering have released yet another user’s guide of a rare supercar. This time, we get a detailed tour of the Maserati MC12 Stradale. If you’re a fan of fast exotics, you shouldn’t miss this one.
This Maserati MC12 user’s guide is a bit different, though. The video starts with an interview of the man who designed this race car for the road – Frank Stevenson. It’s always exciting to know the designer’s perspective.
The MC12 shares a lot of its components with the Ferrari Enzo. It uses the same 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine albeit, with a few modifications. The overall wheelbase has been extended, and the car is slightly taller, thanks to the roof scoop.
Maserati built 50 MC12s for homologation purposes before it could enter the GT1 class. 25 of these cars have a shorter nose section, which was again, done to satisfy the regulations.
The Maserati MC12 is one of the finest race-derived supercars apart from the iconic Mercedes CLK GTR and the Porsche 911 GT1.
