Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider confirmed for Pebble Beach
Ferrari is all set to reveal a limited edition Spider version of the 458 Speciale. The news was broken by 4WheelsNews and that the supercar will be presented at the 2014 Pebble Beach concourse. The Ferrari 458 Speciale is a more powerful and sportier version of the standard 458, much in the same way as the F430 Scuderia which was a more serious version of the F430.
Now, Ferrari made a limited production Spider version of the F430 Scuderia called the Scuderia 16M. Similarly, the Spider version of the 458 Speciale will also be limited to a few numbers. Ferrari has already notified prospective buyers about the upcoming supercar and will be presented at a private event at Pebble Beach.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider will use the same 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 605 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. This allows the lightweight Ferrari to accelerate to 100 kph in just 3.0-seconds and has a top speed of 200 mph. The Speciale is also characterised by its reworked exterior that features lots of aerodynamic upgrades both at the front and rear. Keep watching this space for more on the Speciale Spider.
