Mercedes-AMG Electric Performance SUV prototype officially revealed
Published on
Mercedes-AMG is developing a standalone electric SUV. We saw the first teaser of the upcoming model last month, and now the carmaker has released official images of not one, but two prototypes – an SUV and a four-door coupe.
AMG’s new performance SUV is expected to have a similar footprint as the GLS. The test mule seen here is covered in heavy camouflage and has plastic panels covering the front end. That being said, it appears to have a 4-door coupe-like design with a clamshell bonnet and retractable door handles.
The second image shows AMG’s upcoming four-door coupe undergoing testing in the snow. It is expected to replace the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe.
Both upcoming EVs will be based on the AMG.EA platform.
