Exclusive! Boreham Motorworks Ford Escort Mk1 leaked ahead of debut
UK-based Boreham Motorworks, which specializes in reviving classic cars, is all set to reveal its latest creation – a Ford Escort Mk1. While the company has put out a few teasers, here are the first leaked images.
Classic car enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the Boreham Ford Escort Mk1 looks almost identical to the original from the late 1960s. It has the same body shell with its familiar 3-box design. The updates are no more than subtle. We can see a new set of LED headlights, LED taillights, massively flared wheel arches, and retro-style 4-spoke wheels.
The revamped interior of the Escort Mk1 features black leather upholstery with red accents. The dashboard, door pads, and seats have Alcantara inserts. Boreham has installed an upgraded instrument cluster, which features revised dials and a 3-spoke sports steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara.
The Boreham Ford Escort Mk1 will be powered by a petrol engine, details of which are yet to be revealed. However, the company claims that it will be the “ultimate expression of the RS-lineage”.
