Second McLaren P1 Spider by Lanzante is almost ready to hit the road
The first McLaren P1 Spider by Lanzante was revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2022. The UK-based specialist is working on the P1 second chassis, which is now in its final build phase.
With the latest P1 Spider ready to hit the road, Lanzante has shared some images showing the current progress. As you can see, the most crucial part of the build, i.e. the removable roof and the custom brackets are all in place. The interior has also been revamped as the customer’s preference.
The second P1 Spider will feature the iconic blue and orange Gulf livery. It has been designed by @marcovanoverbeek. Inside, it has white seats with orange stitching and a blue centre console with orange switches. The customer also owns a McLaren Elva, which has a similar spec.
At the heart of the P1 Spider is the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain, which makes 903 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which sends power to the rear axle.
The stock P1 can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 217 mph.
