Exclusive! McLaren P1 successor (P18) public debut likely on October 6
It’s been a bit quiet since the Monterey Car Week ended late last month. However, exciting times are ahead of us as two new hypercars will be revealed before the end of this year. First up is the McLaren P1 successor (codenamed: P18), which is expected to be unveiled in early October.
If the latest rumours are anything to go by, the new McLaren hypercar could make its public debut on October 6. McLaren has already started sending out launch invites to prospective customers, who have been showing it off on social media.
The P1 replacement is said to use a plug-in hybrid powertrain featuring a V8 engine paired with electric motors. It’s expected to have a combined output of over 1000 hp.
The P1 successor will be based on an all-new carbon fibre monocoque, featuring an all-new 3D-printed suspension. It is likely to feature gullwing doors, similar to the Pagani Huayra.
The second hypercar that we’re all excited about is the Ferrari F250, also known as the LaFerrari successor.
