Mercedes-Maybach SL to make its global debut at Pebble Beach
Having unveiled the Mercedes-AMG Mythos PureSpeed at Monaco, the German carmaker is now gearing up for the global premiere of yet another iteration of the SL roadster. The Mercedes-Maybach SL will be revealed to the public during the Monterey Car Week. It will be presented at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance as part of an exclusive event on the “Concept Lawn”.
The Maybach SL will be a more exclusive and luxurious version of the standard SL. No doubt, sunny California would be the perfect setting for the launch of this opulent drop-top.
Prototypes of the Maybach SL have already been spotted in the wild. The luxury convertible will feature a brand-specific chrome grille up front, reworked front and rear bumpers with a tonne of chrome, and multi-spoke alloy wheels.
The cabin of the Maybach SL will be lined in the finest leather. While the overall layout of the interior will be similar to the standard SL, with a digital instrument cluster and a central touchscreen, it will get Maybach-specific graphics.
What’s still a mystery is the engine that will power the new luxury convertible.
