AC Cobra GT Coupe with a 800 hp V8 will set you back $416,000
UK-based AC Cars has revealed a hard-top version of the iconic Cobra, the AC Cobra GT Coupe. Using the latest production techniques and modern materials, the company has created a lightweight reinterpretation of the classic 2-door race car.
The AC Cobra GT Coupe is available in three variants. The base version packs a naturally aspirated V8 engine that puts out 444 hp, while the mid-spec version gets a supercharged V8 that belts out 710 hp.
The one we are interested in is called the Clubsport. It packs a supercharged V8 tuned to produce 788 hp. The car is built around an aluminium chassis wrapped in lightweight carbon fibre body panels. The company says it’s targeting a weight of 1450 kg and a 50:50 weight distribution, which should make it a rather spicy proposition.
AC Cars is currently taking orders for the Cobra GT Coupe. Prices start at approximately $416,000 before tax. Only 99 units of the Clubsport edition will be produced initially, and deliveries will commence in late-2025.
