2025 Corvette ZR1 clocks a top speed of 207 mph at GM’s test track

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful Corvette ever, and also one of the quickest. The automaker claims a quarter-mile time of under 10 seconds and a top speed of over 215 mph.

We will have to wait for someone brave enough to take the ZR1 out on the German Autobahn or a test track to confirm these numbers. However, if this video shared by TheStraightPipes is anything to go by, we can rest assured that there’s no hyperbole in Chevy’s claims.

The video shows a test driver flooring the Corvette ZR1 at the GM Proving Ground in Michigan. The car reaches a top speed of 207 mph before the driver takes his foot off the gas. Throughout the high-speed run, the ZR1 looks steady and glued to the tarmac.

The new ZR1 is powered by an LT7 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 featuring a flat-plane crankshaft. It generates 1064 hp and 828 lb-ft of torque and revs to 8000 rpm.
