Exclusive! Porsche 911 GT3 & Touring facelift to debut in October
The 992-gen Porsche 911 received its first mid-cycle update in May this year. In addition to minor cosmetic changes, Porsche also introduced a brand-new hybrid powertrain on the GTS. The remaining models will also be updated in the coming months.
According to our sources, the 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 facelift will debut globally in October. It will be accompanied by the 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring.
The track-focused 911 has already been spotted testing at the Nurburgring, providing a glimpse of all the exterior changes. One of the biggest differences between the 992-gen 911 GT3 and the facelift is the rear wing. Porsche appears to have redesigned the rear spoiler while retaining its top-mounted design. The 911 GT3 facelift will also feature new headlights and taillights, a revised front fascia and a reworked rear bumper.
We expect to see some changes being made to the interior as well. The semi-digital gauge cluster is likely to be replaced with a digital screen.
The new 911 GT3 might receive a few tweaks on the chassis side, but no major mechanical changes are expected. The car will use the same 4.0-liter, flat-6 engine as the current model. It produces 502 hp and 346 lb-ft of torque and revs to 9000 rpm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 7-speed PDK.
