Lamborghini Veneno Roadster sells for a record $6 million
A Lamborghini Veneno Roadster just sold for $6 million at an online auction. The supercar was offered by SBX Cars – Supercar Blondie’s newly launched auction site.
The Veneno was introduced on Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary, with the Roadster unveiled in 2014. Only 9 Roadsters were built. This particular example has a Nero exterior with Verde accents along the front splitter, side skirts and diffuser, while the interior is trimmed in Verde leather upholstery.
The Veneno Roadster is powered by the same 6.5-liter V12 engine as the Aventador. This engine makes 740 hp @ 8400 rpm and 509 lb-ft @ 5500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed automated manual transmission. This car has just over 1,100 miles on the clock, which suggests that it has spent most of its life in a garage.
If you recall, this car was offered for sale by VIP Motors in 2023 for an eye-watering price of $9.52 million. To be honest, that seemed a bit overpriced, and a year later, we are looking at the same car go for $3.52 million less.
