Bugatti Chiron successor prototype spied for the first time!
The first spy image of the Bugatti Chiron successor has surfaced on the internet. The image was posted on the Germancarforum, where the member claims to have received it from an insider at Rimac.
What we see here is one of the first prototypes of the Chiron successor. One can clearly see the pre-production bodywork with its design inspired by some of the more recent Bugatti hypercars. As we had reported earlier, the Chiron successor has an open rear fascia similar to the McLaren P1. The overall design of the rear end reminds us of the Bugatti Mistral, while the taillights are inspired by the La Voiture Noire.
The hypercar appears to have a double-bubble roof and a central spine running along the central axis. It has a retractable spoiler at the back. Also, note the ducts positioned under the taillights and high-set exhausts.
Here’s the car in side profile. This image was posted by Top Gear earlier today.
Bugatti has already confirmed the new engine that will power its next-gen hypercar. The Chiron replacement will use an 8.3-liter V16 engine paired with three electric motors. The combined output is expected to be around 1800 hp.
As per the latest rumors, the Bugatti Chiron successor might make its global debut on June 20.
