Hennessey announces 1000hp upgrade for the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing
Texas-based performance tuner and hypercar maker Hennessey Performance has rolled out a 1000 hp upgrade package for the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by GM’s supercharged LT4 V8 engine. The 6.2-liter small-block puts out 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque. It is mated with either a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic.
The H1000 package includes ported cylinder heads, enhanced intake and exhaust valves, improved lifters and pushrods, oversized heat exchangers, and long-tube stainless steel headers. The stock supercharger is replaced with a high-flow unit and receives the Hennessey Engine Management Calibration (HEMC).
The final result is 1000 hp and 966 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds (a second quicker than stock) and a top speed of 200 mph. Hennessey claims a quarter-mile time of 10.1 seconds.
As with most upgrade packages from Hennessey, the H1000 package comes with a 2-year / 24,000-mile limited warranty.
