Exclusive! Alpine A110 Ultimate to be the most extreme A110 yet

Last month, we saw the first images of a more track-focused Alpine A110 R. We’ve been told that the most extreme A110 ever might be called the A110 Ultimate.

So, what can we expect from the A110 Ultimate? Well, our sources have been able to gather a few intriguing details of the car. However, please take this information with a pinch of salt, as it’s still unconfirmed.

Nurburgring lap time:

The prototype of the A110 Ultimate was first spotted at Nurburgring. There’s a good reason why Alpine has been testing the car at this legendary racetrack. It is said that the company is targeting a sub-7 minute lap time. To achieve this, Alpine has made several changes to the A110 R.

Chassis and powertrain:

The “ultimate” version will get a revised body kit with added downforce. It includes a redesigned front bumper with canards on either side, a splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser, a fixed rear spoiler and a shark fin. The carmaker is targeting a curb weight of under 1000 kg.

The A110 Ultimate is expected to be powered by a 1.8-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It is said that both the engine and gearbox have been revised for this car.
