Exclusive! First look at the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport-based one-off
As we had reported earlier, Bugatti is set to reveal a new one-off hypercar based on the Chiron Pur Sport on December 21. The automaker has already released a couple of teasers of the car. But here’s the first leaked image that showcases one of its defining design elements.
We’ve been told that the new one-off Bugatti will essentially be a Chiron Pur Sport without the massive rear spoiler. As you can see, the fixed wing has been replaced with a ducktail, which looks rather interesting. Also, note the unique wheels and the dual-tone exterior theme.
Since it’s based on the Pur Sport, we can expect the new model to be powered by the same 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine. This iconic motor develops no less than 1500 hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque. The lack of a rear spoiler should help cut down on drag, and as a result, this version of the Pur Sport might have a higher top speed.
We still don’t know the official name of this one-off “Touring” version of the Chiron Pur Sport. It is expected to be auctioned through RM Sotheby’s on December 21 at 10 am CET.
