Oh boy! Aston Martin Valkyrie breaks down at Goodwood
The Aston Martin Valkyrie is one of the star attractions at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. We saw the car drive up the famous hill climb during the event and it all seemed to be going as per plan until recently. The hypercar reportedly broke down on its second run.
Darren Turner was behind the wheel of the Valkyrie as it was making its way up the hill. However, its progress was supposedly hampered due to a mechanical issue. The details of the breakdown weren’t available at the time of compiling this story. For some reason, the car was able to reverse off the track on its own power. Perhaps there was an issue with the V12 engine and it had to rely on its EV mode.
The Valkyrie was an ambitious project right from the beginning. Designed by Adrian Newey, the hypercar has been in development for almost 5 years now. More recently, there were reports of the project being delayed as it was said to be “difficult to handle”.
We had also reported that production was expected to commence this summer, while the first cars could be delivered by end-2021.
